Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of youthful heartache earned her widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift began showing an enthusiasm for the industry of music from a very young age. Her career progressed rapidly through the play of kids to her first public appearance front of thousands. Swift was just 11 when she first performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. In the following year, she began writing songs, and also picked up the guitar. Swift was inspired by artists in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks to come up with original songs which reflected the alienation she experienced at the age of 13. Swift's family relocated in Tennessee Pennsylvania when she was thirteen so she could be able to spend more time exploring country music labels in Nashville.
