Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born December 13, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for over 20 years. Her tales about romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love has earned her the acclaim of many during the 21st Century. Swift showed an interest in the arts at a very young age, and quickly moved from roles in children's theatre and her first public appearance in front of the crowd of a thousand. Swift began writing music when she was 11. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers game. Swift got the inspiration to compose her own songs by the music of country genre, such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift's family relocated in Tennessee Pennsylvania when she was 13, so that she could spend longer pursuing country music labels in Nashville.
