Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the clinch. Antonina Shevchenko received an UFC contract following this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision after she won her first fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko went 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts, defeating Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
