Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks in her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has also worked at many of the best eateries within New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy as well as competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received the English and Communications degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable learning experience for me. It was hard to study and do enough or put in the hours. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. The chef gained an appreciation of Italian food and culture while in Italy that has informed the way she cooks. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours the country as part of her mentorship task. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to be in a position to share her passion for food with other people.
