Vinita Nair

In July of 2004 she was hired by the station and covered a variety of stories. These included investigating the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was recruited by ABC News in December 2007 as an anchor and correspondent for ABC News Now. In her capacity as a correspondent offered live news as well as briefings for ABC's network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC starting on September 17, 2008, through February 18, 2011. On both of these programs, Nair worked initially in partnership alongside Jeremy Hubbard. Later she was paired with Rob Nelson. On February 17 the 17th of February, 2011 Nair announced that Friday, February 18, would be her last night on air at World News Now. The day she would leave ABC News would be Friday, February 18. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. World News Now, February 18th included three tributes to Nair. The former and present coworkers appeared on the segment.
